Your Energy Bill

    • Meters capture monthly Peak
    • Could have a Capacity minimum
    • (Contract flat rate unless you exceed contracted Peak)
  3. Transmission & Distribution Charges
    • Cost tied to Demand
    • Cost scales with Energy
  4. Time of Use (TOU – On/Off Peak hours)
    • Cost changes based on Day/Time
  5. Coincident Demand (COIN)
    • With Demand Response (DR) Program
    • Without DR program (billed after-the-fact)
    • Typically known when COIN periods occur (Historical)
  6. Energy Services Agreement (ESA)
  7. Other Fees (Taxes, Green Funding, etc.)

We understand each site is unique.  Your load profile is specific to your operations.  Electricity costs may vary by time of use, availability of demand response programs, and net metering.  Longer term utility rates will rise with tariff changes, and possibly your site process electrification. We can help you understand how conservation measures, automation, grid greening, and EV adoption may impact your costs over time.

Our experience shows the solar + BESS solution work best for sites that consume $1M of electrical energy per year, and see a blended $/KWh over $0.10.  For sites with back-up power operational resilience needs, the Business Case is easily justified.  For companies with carbon reduction goals, it is often a question of “how much, how fast?”
